Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a voluntary pension scheme launched by the Government of India (GOI) for all Indian citizens, especially those in the unorganised sector. Under this scheme, subscribers are entitled to receive a monthly pension amount guaranteed by the GOI. Bandhan Bank Limited is a registered Point of Presence (Registration No. POP57092018) with the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) for the registration of new APY subscribers and servicing existing ones. The services include the following:

  • Registration of subscribers under APY

  • Subscriber contribution processing

  • Processing of service requests

  • Grievance management and exit processing

Features:

  • Option to select a guaranteed monthly pension of  ₹1,000/₹2,000/₹3,000/₹4,000/₹5,000 after attaining 60 years

  • Flexibility to pay on a monthly/quarterly/half-yearly basis through auto debit facility from savings bank account

  • In the event of subscriber’s demise, the pension will continue to be paid to the spouse

  • Return of pension corpus to the nominee in the event of demise of both subscriber and spouse

 

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years 

  • Indian citizen with a Bandhan Bank Savings Account

  • From October 1, 2022, any Indian citizen who is or has been an income-tax payer under the Income-tax Act, 1961, as on the date of application will not be eligible to open a new APY account

As per extant guidelines issued by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, the following three CRAs (Central Record Keeping Agency) have been registered by the Authority:

  • Computer Age Management Services Limited

  • KFin Technologies Limited

  • Protean eGov Technologies Limited

Protean eGov Technologies Limited (Erstwhile NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited) is the registered CRA of Bandhan Bank Limited for registration and servicing of Atal Pension Yojana Scheme.
